Officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department were dispatched at approximately 7:35 p.m. on February 16 to the 600 block of Gatehouse Lane following reports of gunfire. At Warren Walker Park, Brown was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the gazebo. He tragically died before reaching the hospital. Confirmation by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office the next morning brought painful finality to a devastating event.
