Drew Cookenmaster Death Louisville, Kentucky Obituary : Family Mourns Death

A fatal crash on Interstate 65 has claimed the life of Drew Cookenmaster, 29, leaving family and friends across Louisville and surrounding areas in mourning.

State police said the accident happened Monday morning near mile marker 103 in Hardin County. Traffic had slowed due to a prior crash near mile marker 106 in Bullitt County. In the resulting congestion, Cookenmaster’s Hyundai Elantra struck the rear of a semi-truck.

Emergency responders pronounced Cookenmaster dead at the scene. The truck driver was uninjured. Authorities temporarily shut down northbound lanes near the Joe Prather Highway ramp while troopers investigated. The incident remains under investigation.
